This Privacy Policy describes how ClipSync ("the Service", "we", "us") handles information when you use our video publishing tool. ClipSync integrates with TikTok through TikTok's official APIs to allow authorized users to upload and publish video content to their TikTok accounts.

1. Information We Collect

ClipSync collects only the minimum data necessary to operate the Service:

• TikTok OAuth tokens: When you authorize the Service via TikTok's Login Kit, we receive an access token and, where applicable, a refresh token. These are used solely to authenticate API requests on your behalf.
• Basic TikTok account information: Through the user.info.basic scope, we receive your TikTok open ID, display name, and avatar URL. This is used to identify the connected account within the Service.
• Video content you submit: Video files you choose to upload are transmitted to TikTok via the Content Posting API. We do not permanently store your video files.

We do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, or any data beyond what is described above.

2. How We Use Your Information

The information we collect is used exclusively to:

• authenticate your TikTok account and maintain the authorized session,
• upload video content to your TikTok profile or draft folder upon your explicit request,
• display the connected account name so you can verify the correct account is linked.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Service.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:

• TikTok: Video content and associated metadata are transmitted to TikTok as part of normal API operation when you initiate a publish or upload action.
• Legal obligations: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.

4. Data Retention

OAuth access tokens are retained only as long as necessary to operate your authorized session. We do not retain video files after they have been transmitted to TikTok. You may revoke the Service's access to your TikTok account at any time through your TikTok account settings, which will invalidate any stored tokens.

5. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. All communication between the Service and TikTok's APIs is conducted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access tokens are stored securely and are not exposed publicly.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• revoke the Service's access to your TikTok account at any time via TikTok's connected apps settings,
• request information about what data we hold about you,
• request deletion of any data we hold about you.

7. Third-Party Services

This Service integrates with TikTok's platform. Your use of TikTok is governed by TikTok's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which are independent of this policy.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
